Condolences
We have so many wonderful memories of Leigh and her good family. Our daughter, Jill went to school with Leigh, Grade 1-12, and they were the two youngest girls in their classes, with Jill being just two weeks younger. Many fond memories of all the wonderful Birthday Parties to celebrate with Leigh & Tea Parties hosted by Leigh as the young girls became young ladies, Memories of Leigh as Jill's Basketball teammate, working together on school projects, school trips and Jill always aspiring to be as good an artist as Leigh was. Our hearts were broken at Christmas when we all learned of Leigh's health struggle and her bravery and contribution to Cancer research.....then the news in May. We think of Leigh and her older sisters and good parents. Leigh was a stellar young lady and no wonder, with such good and kind parents. It was a pleasure to know you all and to have spent time with you throughout Leigh's school years. Jill was out of province at the time of Leigh's Memorial Service but know that we were with you. This has been the hardest thing to write because it means that it is our final goodbye to your sweet daughter, sister, auntie, cousin, & Jill's school friend. With much love and comfort sent your way.

Leigh was one of the best people I've ever had the privilege of knowing, in a completely unqualifiable sense. A bad day was brightened with her around, and a good day made better. Kind, caring, selfless, empathetic, understanding, brave, intelligent, strong, *good*: there are precious few human beings on Earth that these descriptors could *all* apply to, and Leigh was one of them. Fate has done a cruel thing, and all of the world is diminished for it.
The sheer, absolute positivity that Leigh brought to everything, everywhere, all around her was witnessed and appreciated by everyone in even the slightest contact. That's why this message is anonymous — I could be anyone at all who knew Leigh. The sentiment is universal.
I'm so terribly, terribly sorry.
I've been really heartbroken to hear of the loss of Leigh. It has been so many years since she was friends with my little brothers in Britannia, and while it warms my heart to learn that in the time since, Leigh became a cool, highly educated badass who didn't let her illness hold her down for so long, it saddens me deeply to hear that it did finally catch up with her. How unfair. I remember Leigh as a thoroughly benevolent soul. I'm sending love from Montreal to her entire family. I'll be thinking of you and of Leigh for a long time to come
Leigh was a great friend of my son, Carlos, in University. It was such a joy to meet this incredibly smart, talented and lovely lady last December 2022 at their graduation. I was deeply saddened by her passing, but I will always admire her grace and strength. To her parents and sisters, no words can express how sorry I am for your loss. Just want you to know that you are in my thoughts, and I share in your sadness. Love, never dies.
Lovely Leigh, your smile always brightened my day. I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to have shared so many laughs and memories with you. My heart goes out to your family, but you will forever be in our hearts.
Love

We are so saddened to hear of Leigh’s passing. Our deepest condolences. We had the pleasure of getting to know Leigh she and Benjamin came up to the Yukon for an adventure. I have some wonderful pictures that I’d love to share.
I was deeply saddened to hear about the loss of Leigh, and my heart goes out to you and your family during this difficult time. It is never easy to cope with the loss of a cherished individual, and words can hardly express the depth of sorrow felt in such moments.
It’s indeed difficult to lose someone as young and vibrant as Leigh. Her warm and caring personality shone through for me both in class and in all the events that she helped to organized within her home department of Chemical Engineering and for our Faculty of Engineering at the University of Toronto. She seemed to always be finding new ways to give to others.
Leigh worked with me on her senior undergraduate thesis. She did an amazing job in measuring air quality throughout the Toronto subway system Her important results were central within a journal paper that attracted a lot of attention, and hopefully helped drive some positive change.
Leigh made an unforgettable impact on those like myself who were fortunate enough to know and work with her and I believe that this would have only grown had she been given more time. This said, I’m grateful for the time that I spent with Leigh and these memories will live on.
Please accept my sincerest condolences.
