Peggy was a proud graduate from the nursing school at the Edmonton General Hospital (EGH) in 1960 and became a registered nurse. Later she completed a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Alberta while raising four children. Peggy derived great pleasure from family, friendships, cooking, entertaining, swimming, scuba diving, skiing, reading, painting, print making, art, driving and everything else that can by done with a woman with boundless energy and enthusiasm. She was a faithful Catholic and practiced great generosity to those around her and the less fortunate.
