Brenna Josie Dawn Born January 22, 1978, in High River, Alberta, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, in Eden Valley, Alberta at the age of 45.

 

Brenna was the beloved wife of Cody Potts and mother of one beautiful granddaughter, Atlyn Grace (AddieBoo). Brenna leaves behind to mourn her mother Theresa Dixon (step-dad Sheldon Hunter) and father Claude (Irene) Lefthand. Brenna was the sister of Toby Dixon, Justin Potts, Sylvester, Logan and Mitchell Dixon, Selwyn, Robert Lefthand; adopted brothers, Buddie Dixon, Deiter Shade, and Reggie Rider; sisters, Christy, Terrilynn, Elizabeth Dixon Gina Labelle, Zabrina Twoyoungmen, and Clarissa Lefthand; uncles, Bruce Dixon, Darcy (Kathy) Dixon, Lenny (Corrine) Wesley; special uncle Winston (Anne) Bear, aunties, Diane (Myron) Dixon, Corrina Dixon, Tammy Dixon, Debbie Dixon and Jay Delynne (Cory) Jim; grandparents, Dolly Runner, Patsy (Jerry) Simon, Audrey Pipestem, Isaac and Maggie Chamakese, Caroline Atchenum. She was predeceased by her Baby Dixon - Potts, her adopted dad Tommy Dixon, her brothers, Jason Daniels, Dusty Dixon, Kash Dixon, Ty Crawler, Christopher Lefthand; nephew Jakobi Dixon, and her sisters, Mavis Labelle, Claudia Labelle, and her pet dog Cowboy, great-grandparents, George and Rosie Runner, maternal grandparents, Don Dixon, Margaret Dixon Runner, and Joe Potts; paternal grandparents, Cassie Lefthand, Elva Lefthand; uncles, Reg Lefthand and Joey Rabbit; and aunties, Victoria Lefthand, Yvonne Lefthand, Mabel Abraham and Maryjane Wesley.

 

Brenna was passionate about attending powwows, round dances, rodeos, ceremonies, traveling and photography. Brenna began her education journey in Montana elementary, she then moved to St. Agustus Catholic School in Ponoka and when she moved back to Morley she earned her GED at Bow Valley College. Brenna was involved in numerous programs with the Stoney HRD, such as the Carpentry Program with the late Pierre Sicardi, Stoney Nakoda Resort Training she became a chip runner.

 

 

She was most remembered for travels to Disneyland, Reno Nevada, Kamloops, and Las Vegas.

 

Brenna had numerous relations from Dixons, Lefthand, Runner, Eagle Tail, Otters, Big Belly, Onespot, Manywounds, Crowchilds, McDougalls, Little Bear, Potts, Family apologizes if they have missed anyone.

 

There will be a two-night wake service held at the residence of the late Brenna on Saturday, May 27-28, 2023, and Funeral will be held on Monday, May 29, 2023, at The Eden Valley hockey Arena at 1:30 p.m. Feast will follow at the residence of Late Brenna Dixon.
