Obituary of Rudy Jonas Baptiste

It is with profound sadness that Rudy Jonas Baptiste  was called home by our Creator on Monday, May 22, 2023 at the age of 37 years.

Rudy was an avid athlete in which hockey was his passion. He continued to excel playing left wing position up to the time of his passing. He enjoyed listening to all kinds of music, as well as being outdoors actively participating in all sorts of other activities.

Rudy was raised by his traditionally respected parents, Gilbert (d.1985) and Rosie Crawler. Rudy is survived by his two children Rudy Jr and Joel; his siblings, Bonnie, Sam, Blaine, Hannah (Oliver), Joni, Holly (Brandon), Rene (Dieter), Brittany, Arcilla(Ollin), Jayda(Shelton) and Candace(Dillon); his numerous nieces and nephews; his numerous aunties and uncles, cousins, extended relatives from the Baptiste, Crawler, Benjamin, Dixon, Kootenay, House, Mark and Simeon families; as well as numerous extended cousins, relatives, and friends. We would like to apologize if we missed anyone.

Rudy was predeceased by his biological parents, Rudy Benjamin and Verna Baptiste; his sister Jordena Baptiste, oldest brother Quinn Crawler, and cousins Cory Baptiste and Kash Dixon. Also, his uncles Vern and Jerome Poucette, Justin and Jarvis Simeon, Vern and Michael Benjamin, maternal grandparents Ronald and Reba Baptiste, Doreen Simeon, paternal grandparents Paul Dixon Jr. and Lily Benjamin, great-grandparents Paul and Eunice Mark; Paul Sr. and Florence Dixon.

Wake Services will be held at the residence of late Verna Baptiste (Morley, AB) on May 27, 2023.  Funeral Services will be held at Morley Gymnasium (Morley, AB) on Monday, May 29, 2023 at 12:00 p.m.  Graveside Service to follow at   the Crawler family Cemetery (Morley, AB).  Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed here.
