Obituary of Pawel Kossowski
August 13, 1950 – Warsaw, Poland
May 24, 2023 - Calgary, Alberta
Surrounded by his loving family, Pawel Kossowki peacefully passed away on May 24, 2023, at the age of 72.
Pawel had a profound love for nature, family, music about love, and gardening. He found great pleasure in exploring the natural beauty of Canada, especially the serene sounds of the forest, and the invigorating air of Alberta. The soothing melodies of nature provided solace for his tender heart and allowed him to create treasured moments with his loved ones. At home, he would always listen to his favourite songs by Rod Stewart, as well as Whitney Houston's timeless classic, "I Will Always Love You," to uplift his spirits and fill the air with love.
Throughout his life, Pawel was known for his kindness, love, generosity, and warm demeanour towards everyone he encountered. He led a humble life, walking with dignity, and embracing cherished family traditions. He found joy in meeting with people, taking walks, and bike rides with his beloved dog, Funia. Although Pawel left us on May 24, 2023, his memory will forever be cherished in our hearts. His legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire us all.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Maria, with whom he shared a life filled with love for over 50 years since their twenties. Pawel is also survived by his children, Anna, and Krzysztof, as well as his cherished grandchildren, Katlin, and Tysen. In heaven, he will be reunited with his ancestors and his parents.
A Memorial Service will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. Condolences, memories, and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
