To the family members of Flora McInnes,
I was deeply saddened by the news about the passing of Flora. I am so very sorry. This must be a very difficult time for your family. Please remember that you are all in our thoughts and my prayers.
Flora was such a kind soul, who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. I will miss her helpful advice. I remember the time when we were comparing the types of salads we like – mine a garden salad, hers a spinach salad with hard-boiled eggs and onions – then we both laughed because we became hungry! But hearing her laughter, made me realize that it was also soon lunch and that we could stop chatting on the phone and now we both knew what we were going to have for lunch.
So, now I too enjoy a spinach salad with hard-boiled eggs, minus the onions and I smile when I finish the salad, and I’ll never forget that time and many other fine chats we had over the years. She would also remind me of how she enjoyed the young carrots I would bring her from my garden, and she would share with me how much she enjoyed her yard.
Now I think about how much I will miss her, but how very happy I am to have known such a wonderful, kind neighbour. She was one of a kind.
