Obituary of Maxine Helen Robertson

April 12, 1932 – Alsask, Saskatchewan

May 29, 2023 - Calgary, Alberta

Maxine was born in Alsask, SK, on April 12, 1932. She grew up as one of twelve children in Mantario, SK, to Thelma (nee Holt) Nash and William Mackinley Nash.

A lover of horses, Maxine was particularly proud of her family. She, therefore, encouraged her seven children to spend time with cousins, aunts, uncles, and their grandparents on the Nash farm in Kindersley, SK.

Maxine is survived by her three daughters Terri (Steve) Jeanes, Dawn (Bruce) Kay, and Debbi (Ron) Robertson.  Her four sons Kim (Carole) Robertson, Bob (Tammy) Robertson, James Robertson, and Scott Robertson.  Eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Maxine is also survived by her sister Betty Tennant, Leonard (Lex) Nash, Keith (Norma) Nash, sister-in-law Lorraine Nash, and brother-in-laws Wayne Kobie, and Don Jackson. Many cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends will miss Maxine’s sarcastic sense of humor and colourful personality.

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre St. N, Calgary, AB), on Friday, June 9, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed here.

In living memory of Maxine Robertson, a tree will be planted in the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area by McInnis & Holloway Funeral Homes.
