Obituary of Christiana Adetoun Adesubomi Daria

 

May 10, 1967 – Ilesha, Osun State, Nigeria

May 30, 2023 – Calgary, Alberta

 

 

Princess Christiana Adetoun Adesubomi Daria (nee Ademiluyi), beloved wife of Joseph Daria, passed on to glory on May 30, 2023.

 

She was a wife and mother that can never be forgotten. The imprint she left on the lives of those around her left an indelible mark. Her legacy lives on.

 

Her husband and children can testify that she lived as she preached. Her beauty extended beyond her looks. She was the most loving and amazing mother. She wore humility as a crown jewel, patience was her virtue, and grace as a beautiful ornament on her head.

 

She believed and lived a life of selflessness, giving herself completely to God and her family, even above herself. She sacrificed for those she loved, she truly loved like Jesus taught us to.

 

Her love and devotion to God was outstanding. Her faith even to her last breath, unshaken. The greatest joy and comfort is being confident that she is with Jesus.

 

She served God all her life. God was her always her number one priority. She converted several people to Christianity, not limited to her entire family of orientation. The moment she found Jesus, she never looked back.

 

The values and virtues she possessed, and the lessons she taught will be carried on as a legacy and will transcend from generation to generation.

 

Her memory will be honored by her loved ones. It was and will always be a great pleasure to have been loved by our sweetest wife and mother.

 

We are grateful to God for the life she lived, a life well-lived that is. We will live our lives worthy of the calling God has given us, knowing that in doing so, we will meet our wife and mother again on Resurrection Day.

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Deerfoot South, 12281 – 40th Street SE, Calgary, AB) on Friday, June 30, 2023, at 10:00AM.  Graveside Service to follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
