Condolences
One of many old sayings says that “Rolling stones gather no moss.” That certainly is true of people also, and especially people like Lloyd. Always willing and eager to try something new, Lloyd and his Margie lived in many different places. Since we first met them, considerably more than 50 years ago, they have moved often, living (and working) not only in several provinces and cities, but in two countries, since he held dual citizenship. We can easily recall ten places, but we probably are missing a couple more. Not only that, but Lloyd loved vehicles and owned many different cars and trucks, a boat, and even a motorcycle while we knew him!
Just think of all the people they must have met in those places, and the lives they must have brightened. Certainly, since we visited them at every spot, we know that they certainly brightened ours. Not only did we visit them at home, but we accompanied them on visits to many other places, since we were both interested in camping and motor homes and on ocean cruises.
Lloyd, we shall certainly think of you often and miss you. Rest In Peace.

If first impressions mean anything, Lloyd knocked it out of the ballpark! Tall, dark n’ handsome, with a mischievous grin and a twinkle in his eye, my first thought was “Margie, you done real good!”. As their married life progressed, Lloyd’s true character emerged - a principled man of integrity. Whereas good looks are often transitory, character is forever. He was a very good husband to Margareta and a loving father to Sheri and Kevin. That says it all. An honourable legacy.
Margie, Sheri, Kevin and Ludi. Thinking of you with sadness. Lloyd was a good man. You were all well loved.
I would like to extend my most sincere sympathy to Margie and families in their terrible loss.
Bea (my recently deceased wife) and I met the Mc Connells in Valley Ridge Lodge in the spring of 2018. We quickly became dining companions and Lloyd and I enjoyed countless hikes through Valley Ridge as well as Bowness and Baker Parks. After leaving Valley Ridge, we got together several times for meals and what were wonderful get togethers. I have to also thank Margie for her excellent communication skills in emails and photography of flowers. A sign of true friendship that still runs deep.
