Dustin was born on February 23, 1993, in Edmonton, AB. He was raised in Edmonton, Calgary, and Lethbridge. Dustin was residing in Calgary at the time of his passing.
Dustin’s pride and joy was his daughter, Nevannah. He loved his daughter with everything in him and more. He loved his family and friends, many of whom he adopted as siblings. Dustin was the type of person who would give you the coat off his back if he felt you needed it more. He was a kind person and he truly cared for the people in his life. He was always checking to see if you were ok or needed anything. Dustin was a humble person, he had respect for people, it didn’t matter who they were. If you were his friend, you were a friend for life.
Dustin is survived by his daughter Nevannah and her mother Lene; his dad Virgil Simeon, his brothers, James Dean Simeon and Logan Simeon; paternal grandparents, Lillian Simeon and Doug Ollenburg; paternal aunts, Audra (Keevin) Rider, Trisha (Garret) Simeon, and Dori Simeon; paternal uncles, Jason Simeon, Caylem Simeon, and Jamie Simeon; maternal aunts, Joanne (Mickey) Smith, Amy Many Guns, and Sherry (Ken) Eagle Plume; uncles, Ronnie Many Guns and Carl (Barb) Many Guns; great-aunties, Hazel Derange and Betty Lou Crazy Boy; and great-uncles, Norris (Wendy) Crazy Boy and Sheldon Crazy Boy. Dustin is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends he took as siblings, as well as numerous relatives throughout the Treaty 7 area.
Dustin was predeceased by his mother Penny Many Guns, brother Jessie James Simeon, paternal grandfather Joseph Simeon, maternal grandparents, Evelyn Many Guns and Sandy Eagle Plume; aunts, Wanda Many Guns and Cindy McHugh; uncle Vincent Taylor, maternal great-grandparents, Mickey and Annie Crazy Boy, and Willy Eagle Plume and Lilly Spotted Bull; and paternal great-grandparents, Jim and Isabel Simeon.
Dressing will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive SW, Calgary, AB) on Sunday, June 11, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so after the dressing at 1:00 p.m.
Wake Services will be held at Bullhead Hall (Tsuut'ina Nation, AB) on Sunday, June 11, 2023 at 3:00 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held at the Bullhead Hall (Tsuut'ina Nation, AB) on Monday, June 12, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Tsuut'ina Cemetery (Tsuut'ina Nation, AB). Reception will be held at the Bullhead Hall (Tsuut'ina Nation, AB) immediately following the graveside. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed at here.
