Obituary of Margaret Eloise Edgington

Margaret “Eloise” Edgington was born August 23, 1923 in Pittsburg, Kansas, USA, and passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 in Calgary, AB at the age of 99 years.

Eloise was a graduate of Kansas State Teachers College with a BS in Education. She was a member of the Oil Wives and the Chinook Guild of Fibre Arts and volunteered with the Canadian Cancer Society. Eloise enjoyed drawing, painting, needlework, miniature dollhouses, dollmaking, piano playing, gardening, skiing, travel, genealogy, bridge, and reading.

Eloise is survived by her son Doug Edgington (Sue Gingrich); daughter Rosemary Thomas (Gerry Bordeleau), all of Calgary; her grandchildren, Wyatt Edgington of Calgary, Keely Edgington (Blair Hubley) of Whitehorse, Adrian Edgington (Kailey) of Calgary, Caoimhin Ross and Quinn Ross, both of Halifax. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Darian Edgington, Serena Edgington, and Eloise Hubley.

Eloise was predeceased by her husband Antony Edgington; her sons, Norman Edgington and Malcolm Edgington; her mother Lena Ross, her father Randal Ross; and her brothers, John Ross, Bob Ross, and Gordon Ross.

Eloise will be most remembered for her passion for art and her love of family.
