Marilyn Elaine Davies Marsollier, age 65, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at Bethany Riverview Care Center in Calgary. She was born on August 12, 1957, to Albert “Bud” and Ruth (Lemke) Davies. Marilyn graduated from Crescent Heights High School in 1974 and soon after embarked on a new chapter of her life, embracing the love that comes with starting a family.

Marilyn then met Allen and were inseparable for many years before deciding to unite their families through marriage on September 6, 2008, at their beautiful home at Hidden Valley Resort. This property was the perfect venue to celebrate birthdays, and family reunions were shared with many of Allen and Marilyn’s lifelong friends.

After years of hard work as an Executive Assistant at Canadian Pacific Railway, she retired and set out on adventures with Allen to their homes in Vulcan, AB, and Mexico.  Marilyn had many passions, yet gardening was at the top of her list. Christmas time was her favorite time of year, filled with family and friends, and loved showcasing all of her Christmas collectibles.

In the hearts of her grieving family, including her husband Allen, her mother Ruth, twin sister Audrey (Ken), sisters Kelly and Darlene (Mark); and close family members and friends, her memory will live on. Marilyn adored her children, Shara (Clint) and Chris (Anica); and stepchildren, Cam (Nicole), and Gillian (Spence).

She often bragged about her grandchildren and proudly revealed every milestone she shared about Te ́a (Alex), Aria, Axel, and Asher. Marilyn was especially looking forward to meeting her great-granddaughter, Quinn.

Although we mourn her passing, we also celebrate the incredible impact she made during her time with us.  Her legacy of love, kindness, and compassion will continue to inspire and guide us through the difficult days ahead.

A service to honor and remember the life of Marilyn will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street N, Calgary, AB T2E 2V6) on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. We all know that Marilyn loved flowers, if anyone intends to express condolences, they can be sent to the funeral home prior to the service.
