Obituary of France Giroux

April 11, 1966 - Saint-Eustache, Quebec

June 8, 2023 - Calgary, Alberta

France Giroux beloved wife of Michel Rochefort of Calgary, AB, passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at the age of 57 years.

She grew up in rural Quebec with a big hard working and loving family.

France  met Mike Rochefort in 1986 and they were together for more than 30 years. In 1997 they began their own business and have successfully run it ever since. France graduated with a degree in bookkeeping and developed deep friendships with her clients.

France accomplished much through her life and was particularly proud of her daughters and her work. France  enjoyed being outdoors and active. She played tennis, went indoor rock climbing, biking, snowshoeing, hiking, camping and more.

France ’s most memorable vacation was when she went on a roadtrip across Canada with her family in an RV for two months.

France’s favourite saying was “I wish for everyone to have enough, and to find their joy”. She  will be most remembered for her kind, generous and selfless spirit.

Remembering her fondly are her two daughters, Vicky and Kimberly, and her sweet husband Mike.

France wanted to leave an impact and a fundraiser in her memory is underway to raise money for Ovarian Cancer awareness, research and support services. Donations and link sharing are welcome. http://fundraisemyway.cancer.ca/campaign/france58
