T. Leah Fehr
Bruce was my teacher and my dearest friend. In high school, he was a relentless, hilarious and faithful mentor, and consistently offered me steadfast encouragement, brutally constructive criticism, and endless patience with, and tolerance of, my writing. Twenty years later, we reconnected through poetry and music, laughter and wine, and remained close friends these past 12 years. Bruce was there for me through some of the best and worst times in my life, and his friendship, kindness and support for me, and my family, never once faltered. He helped me through so much loss, with more love, compassion and generosity than I would have ever thought possible. Bruce will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him, and my heart goes out to his family.
