Obituary of Mary Robyn Rogers

September 8, 1935 – Oakville, Ontario

June 13, 2023 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Robyn Rogers on Tuesday, June 13, 2023.

After fighting a long, courageous battle with heart failure, Robyn passed peacefully, supported by her loving family. Robyn is survived by her five children, Robyn ‘Robbie’ Chase, Valerie Chase, David Chase, Norma Chase, and Robert ‘Bob’ Chase; daughter-in-law Roxanne Goldade-Chase, and four grandchildren, Fallon Chase, Devon Chase, Jayde Jobert, and Rémy Jobert. Predeceased by parents, Alex and Mary Brown; and brother Alexander Brown of Edmonton. Survived by sister Nancy Brown Watkins, brother Richard Brown, sisters-in-law, Alberta ‘Bert’ Brown and Joan Brown; as well as a large extended family across the country and across the pond.

Robyn will be lovingly missed by her dear friends, Connie and John Arkesteijn of Comox, BC. Their caring and support have been deeply appreciated. The family also expresses their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Trinity Lodge, Calgary.

Robyn was born in Oakville, ON, on September 8, 1935. She grew up in Edmonton, AB and then spent many years raising her family in Calgary, Edmonton, and London, ON. She eventually settled in Comox, BC where she never lost her appreciation of the beautiful, ever-changing view outside her window of the ocean tides and the mountains that she loved. A voracious reader with a passion for hiking, skiing, and travel, Robyn led an active and adventurous life full of love and laughter. So much laughter! She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all.
