Valerie Margaret Lymer, 71, passed away on July 7, 2023 in Calgary, Alberta.
Growing up Valerie was fortunate to learn many skills and hobbies she would carry with her through life. Her mother teaching her to garden, bake, enjoy reading, compassion for animals as well as how to knit, crochet, sew and craft. Her father taught Valerie how to look after a home, fix and restore household items and to enjoy music of all types. Valerie enjoyed spending her youth with her brothers and getting into mischief with them as well as spending time, these memories were dear right to the end.
Valerie realized her childhood dream of becoming a nurse and would work as a Registered Nurse in Ontario while raising her children and later in Alberta until she retired. She met many caring and talented medical professionals throughout her career and remained good friends with many of them.
She will be remembered as a caring, strong and loving person who always tried to look on the bright side, was compassionate to all, cared for wildlife and respected all life.
Valerie was predeceased by her father Charles Stone, she will be dearly missed by her mother Margaret Stone (nee Doughty), her partner, her four children, her brothers, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephew, her aunt, her many cousins, friends and former colleagues.
