Obituary of Roberta Lucille Maddock

February 27, 1957 – Barrie, Ontario

June 14, 2023 - Calgary, Alberta

Roberta Lucille Maddock, beloved wife of Terry Maddock, of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at the age of 66 years.

Roberta was born in Barrie, ON on February 27, 1957. She moved to Calgary, AB in 1971. This is where she met her husband, Terry, while curling in the teen league. Roberta and Terry were married in 1977.

Roberta enjoyed camping, curling, playing crib and spending time with her family. She touched the hearts of all the people she met and will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her. She left us all with beautiful memories; her love and laughter are still our guide and although we can no longer see her, she's always by our side.

Besides her loving husband, Roberta is survived by her children, Adam (Dee), Elizabeth (Jerry), T.J (Nealia); her eight grandchildren, Sheldon (Lyss), Rhett (Martina), Averey, Gabby, Jace, Braydon, Ciara, and Aliyah; and her three great-grandchildren, Jaxton, Ivy, and Jason.  Roberta is also survived by her two sisters, Sharon (Ken), and Alison (Neal) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Roberta was predeceased by her mom Shirley, her dad Robert, and sister Colleen.

A Memorial Service will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. Condolences, memories, and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
