Grace Turner of Calgary, AB, passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at the age of 15 years.

Grace, Gracie, Ace…our treasured child, who was just fifteen years old. Wholeheartedly loved and desperately missed. Kind and generous, quiet, and inquisitively funny. Lover of video games, onesies, water, hats, sisters, family, and took every opportunity to eat Hubba Bubba watermelon gum.

The teen years brought on complicated struggles and ultimately, while seeking mental health support, ended tragically as a result of a fentanyl overdose. Difficult conversations need to be had, as well as repeated check-ins, creating safe spaces of acceptance, without shame and blame, for our vulnerable youth. Please remember, if you see something, say something. It could change a life.

Grace is survived by devastated parents, Renee and Thomas, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McInnis & Holloway (Eastside, 5388 Memorial Drive NE, Calgary, AB) on Sunday, June 25, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

The family welcomes all for Grace’s Funeral. Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Eastside, 5388 Memorial Drive NE, Calgary, AB) on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed here.
