Obituary of Anna Maria Morson

June 23, 2023 - Calgary, Alberta

 

Anna Morson (nee Fabbro), beloved wife, mother, grandmother of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 23, 2023, at the age of 90 years. Anna was predeceased by her husband Marino Morson, and her parents Luigi and Caterina Fabbro.

 

Anna is survived by her children, Dina (Jack), Dino (Nicola), Susan, and Toni; her grandchildren, Anthony, Matthew (Logan) Katherine (David), Aaron (Kim), of Red Deer, AB, Angela, Natasha (Logan) of Manning, AB, and Jordan; and her eight great-children, Haven, Isabella, Tyler, Dominic, Watson, Adin, Olivia, and Haily. Anna is also survived by numerous relatives in Italy and Australia.

 

Anna was born in Gemona del Friuli, Udine, Italy on August 23, 1932. She married the love of her life, Marino Morson in 1953 and immigrated to Canada in 1954 where they began their life together. Anna was a much-loved devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend and she will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a caring and loving person who touched many lives.

Anna was employed by Foothills Hospital for over 25 years. She was a member of the Legion of Mary and the CWL at her parish.

 

Anna had a passion for traveling to many destinations and pilgrimages to Lourdes and Medjugorje. She loved to cook for her family and her hobbies included growing flowers, gardening, and crocheting.

 

Anna will be most remembered for how deeply she loved and cared for her family. She was known by her great faith, generosity, and sense of humour.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 711-37 Street NW, Calgary, AB T2N 3C1, on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at 7:00 p.m.

 

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 711-37 Street NW, Calgary, AB T2N 3C1, on Friday, June 30, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Reception to follow in the Parish Hall at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed at www.MHFH.com.
