Donna Prpich of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at the age of 81 years.

Donna graduated school in Nadia, Brezice, Slovenia; and proved to be a wonderful mother to her sons and an exceptional grandmother. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. She took joy in cooking, baking and trips into nature. Her favorite vacations were to Maui in 1998 and to the Adriatic Sea with her family.

Besides her loving husband Peter, Donna is survived by her two sons Pete (Canel Bakkal) and Rob (Lori), and five grandchildren; Kayla, Ashley, Dylan, Jessie, and Jordan. Donna is also survived by her three sisters, Anita, Frida, and Milanna, one brother Paul, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Donna was predeceased by her child Mario, parents Terezija and Jozef, brothers, Paul, Joza, Evan and Tony, and sisters Tereza and Bozina.

Donna will be remembered by her bright smile, contagious laugh, and warm embrace.

We have only a memory, dear mother,

We cherish our whole life through;

But the sweetness will live forever

As we treasure the memory of you.

Those who are wishing to pay their respects may do so at McInnis & Holloway (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) at 9:30 a.m. prior to the service. Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Monday, July 3rd, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Donna's service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service. For those who are unable to view live, a recording of the service will be posted. Condolences, memories, and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
