Obituary of Ted Brownell

August 28, 1952- New Waterford, Nova Scotia

June 23, 2023 - Calgary, Alberta

Theodore “Ted” Brownell beloved husband of Mary (nee Dahr) of Calgary, Alberta, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2023 at the age of 70 years.

Ted was born in New Waterford, Nova Scotia on August 28, 1952. He moved back and forth between Calgary and Nova Scotia several times with his work in the Oil and Gas Industry, making his home in both places.

Ted enjoyed watching hockey and baseball, he loved the Toronto Blue Jays and the Toronto Maple Leafs, a love that developed while spending time with his dad.

Ted ’s most memorable vacations were visits back home to spend time with family, and travelling to Leduc where he could reminisce about his time working in the oil fields and the mine in New Waterford, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.  He will be most remembered for his love of family, and Country and Western music.

Besides his loving wife, Ted is survived by two children and a grandchild in Nova Scotia; as well as numerous cousins, and friends. Ted was predeceased by his parents, Mary (nee Podgurski) and Graham Brownell.
