Obituary of John Bosch
May 30, 1949 – Cape Town, South Africa
June 25, 2023 - Calgary, Alberta
John Bosch, beloved husband of Petronella Bosch of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at the age of 74 years.
John was born in Cape Town, South Africa, on May 30, 1949. After immigrating to Canada, he raised his family in Calgary, AB.
Having a strong faith in Jesus Christ, John led his family with biblical values and God’s word. His life was a reflection of the love of Christ, as demonstrated in his kind, selfless, and generous nature. The love and devotion he shared with his wife, children and grandchildren was evident each and every day, through his acts of kindness, his leadership, the wisdom he imparted and the cherished moments conversing with him.
John will be most remembered for his faithfulness to his father God, his good natured, joyous heart, and the Christ centered leader he was to his family.
Besides his loving wife Petronella, John is survived by his daughter Adele (Brent) Bergen; granddaughter Alicia; grandsons Joshua, Jacob and Matthew of Calgary; his son John (Casey) Bosch; grandson Gabriel; and granddaughter Avery of Foothills, AB; his son Andrew (Alexandra) Bosch; grandson Elijah; and granddaughter Emilia of Calgary.
John is also survived by his brother Anthony Bosch of Maple Creek, SK, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
John was predeceased by his father Antonie Bosch; his mother Elizabeth Bosch; his sisters Marukkie Alexander, Jacqueline Van Huffel; and his brother Adolf Bosch.
Funeral Services will be held at First Alliance Church - Harvest Room (12345 – 40th Street SE) on Friday, June 30, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow at the Church. Graveside Service to follow at Prairie Sky Cemetery.
