Obituary of Donna Mary Wheeler

It is with great sadness that the family of Donna Mary Wheeler-Newton announces her passing. Donna was born in Black Duck Siding, NL on August 26, 1959, and left us on July 8, 2023, in Calgary, AB.

Donna was predeceased by her father Daniel Wheeler and will be mourned by her husband and best friend Frederick Newton, son Stephen Hynes (Nico), stepchildren, Cassandra Vandel (Damien) Patrick Newton and Victoria Newton; grandchildren, Anna, Ryker and Samantha, Mother Sylvia Bennett of Barrie, ON; siblings, Carolyn Fleming (Mike) Agassiz, BC, Daniel Wheeler Jr, Virginia Wheeler  of CBS, NL, Patricia Wheeler of CBS, NL; and extended family Anne Newton  of Winnipeg, MB, Jim Newton of Cambridge, ON, Theresa Herbert (Patrick) of Edmonton, AB, and Gerard Newton (Charlotte), of Winnipeg, MB.

Donna will be remembered for her fierce love and dedication to family and friends, her outgoing bubbly personality and love of life. Her heart of gold has stopped beating, her hands are now at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the best. Leaves and flowers may wither, and the golden sun may set, but the hearts that loved you dearly are the ones that won't forget. Until we meet again. We love you Donna.

A private celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, August 20, 2023, for close friends and family. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed here.
