Obituary of Trevor Hunter

February 11, 1974 – Banff, Alberta

June 26, 2023 – Calgary, Alberta

 

It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected loss of our beloved Husband, Father, Brother, Grandfather, Uncle, and Cousin. Trevor Hunter was called home by our Creator, on Monday, June 26, 2023 at the age of 49 years.

 

In his youth, late Trevor Hunter loved to play hockey; it was his favorite sport. At one point, Trevor was scouted to play for Team Canada. He also loved rodeos; He had won a Buffalo riding at the World-Famous Calgary Stampede. Once he became a father, he dedicated his life to his children.

 

Trevor leaves behind to mourn his loss, his wife of 32 years, Janadine Hunter; five daughters, Kelsey (Kes), Bailie, Tyra, Grace (Vance) and Athina; three sons, Zoey (his boss), Keana and Ryus Twoyoungmen; three grandsons, Donnie, Jahseh and Percy; and his only granddaughter, Jonnie. He is also survived by his only brother, Sheldon (Teresa); half- sisters, Jackie R.M and Melody T.; Aunts, Bonita Jimmijohn (Brian), J.J, Anga, Reatha, Daisy, Frances Ear (Donnie), Josephine S., Cecilia Ear and Christine Ear; Uncles, Keith (Jamie) LH and Tommy Hunter; culturally adopted mother, Marjorie Chiniquay (Frank); culturally adopted sisters, Diane and Belinda L.; culturally adopted daughters, Aliya and Amira Twoyoungmen and Arissa Hunter; and special son-in-law, Matthew Manyguns.

 

Trevor is predeceased by his mom, Betty Hunter, his father, Ernest Ear, maternal grandparents, Daisy Hunter and Johnny Lefthand Sr.; paternal grandparents, Moses and Christina Ear; culturally adopted parents, Arthur and Alice Twoyoungmen; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces. Trevor had many relatives on both his maternal and paternal sides. We apologize if we have missed anyone as there are too numerous to mention.

 

Wake Services will be held at the residence Trevor Hunter (Morley, AB) on Saturday, July 1, 2023. Funeral will be held at the same location on Monday, July 3, 2023 at 1:00 p.m.  Graveside Service to follow at Hunter Cemetery (Morley, AB), not far from his home that he so loved. Following the service family and friends are invited for a traditional feast at Trevor Hunter’s residence. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed here.
