Obituary of Angus Alexander Robb

 

November 3, 1953 - Montreal, Quebec

June 29, 2023 - Calgary, Alberta

 

Angus was born in Montreal on November 3, 1953 and died in Calgary on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at the age of 69 years. Angus is survived by his wife Susan Kilgour; brother Calvin (Jane Evenson) of Calgary; and sisters, Leslie Ford (Gordon Ford) of Canmore, AB; and Carrie Creelman (Ross Creelman) of Fredericton, NB and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Alex and Barbara Robb.

 

Angus lived most of his life in Calgary. He obtained a BA from York University in 1977 and subsequently earned his professional accounting designation.

 

Angus worked for Thorne Riddell in Calgary and Syncrude Canada in Ft. McMurray. Following an early retirement, Angus and Susan enjoyed life at their cottage in Muskoka and as snowbirds in the winter in the southern USA.

 

Angus was an avid golfer and was a committed handicapper at the horse track. In his younger days, Angus participated in all kinds of sports, particularly football.

 

A Celebration of Angus’ Life will be held at the Southern Alberta Pioneers Memorial Building (3625 - 4th Street SW, Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed here.
