Obituary of Stanislaw Salata

Stanislaw “Stan” Salata, beloved husband of Albina Salata (nee Filipczak) of Calgary, AB, passed on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at the age of 95 years.

Stanislaw was born in Wolyn Poland on May 8, 1928. He immigrated to Canada and settled in Calgary, AB. After moving to Canada, Stanislaw worked with CP Rail for many years.

Stanislaw married Albina Salata in 1961.

Stan will be most remembered for being a loving and kind husband, father and grandfather, and a very hard-working person.

Besides his loving wife, Stanislaw is survived by his son, Tom (Karen) Salata of Townsville, Australia; and four grandchildren, Justin Mazurek and Nicole Mazurek of Calgary, AB, and Liam Salata and Kaylee Salata of Townsville, Australia. Stanislaw was predeceased by his daughter Maria Salata.

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street N, Calgary, AB T2E 2V6) on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Mr. Salata’s service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service. For those who are unable to view live, a recording of the service will be posted. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
