Obituary of Patrick Edward Steven Hurley

With deepest sorrow, we announce that Patrick Hurley of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at the age of 29 years.

Those who knew Patrick even for a short time knew him as a man who wore his heart on his sleeve and could light up any room he walked into. His love for his family and friends was unconditional and unending. Always an avid football fan both on and off the field his spirit will be sorely missed. The world has lost a beautiful loving soul.

He is survived by his parents Wendy Ames and Steve Hurley and his brothers Jaycee Ames and Lucus Hurley (Michelle Hurley) and niece Lucille. Grandparents Jim Russell (predeceased by his grandmother Joanne Russell) and Josephine and Edward Hurley. Numerous Aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, too many to name, who loved him dearly.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at the viewing at McInnis & Holloway (Eastside, 5388 Memorial Drive NE, Calgary, AB) on Sunday, July 16, 2023, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Condolences, memories, and photos can also be shared and viewed here.

The celebration of his life will be Thursday, July 20, 2023, 2:00 pm at Marlborough Community Association, 636 Marlborough Way NE. Refreshments and snack to follow. In lieu of flowers we kindly ask that you make donations to the Alpha House:
