Condolences
This is awful news and the last thing I wanted to hear today. Jon was my friend that I met through my sister when I first moved to Calgary. He was one of the very few people that I trusted to care for my dog “Suki“, and he always took her in when I needed help. Jon was a good friend to me, and made sure I wasn’t alone on Christmas, and even took me to his family dinner. My heart is broken for his family , they are a tight family full of love, and they all loved him. His nephews absolutely adored their Uncle Jon. He is surely with his dog “Gibson” now, and I’m sure Suki will find him to say hello.
A man is measured by how he treats his people and his dog, and Jon had such a gentle hand for all.
Rest In Peace Jon. You were one of the greats down here, so I truly believe heavens gates were wide open for you.
Goodbye my friend. Thank you for being so good to us.
Love,
Teej.

Thank you to those who post memories of Jon, both here and on the Calgary Herald Obituary site. They do encourage the family and friends and help us to bear our loss.
I was saddened to read of Jon’s passing. Over the years. He provided exterior services to our company and was highly spoken of by Bruce. More recently he organized new eavestrough and roof repair to our home. Always friendly and reliable. RIP
I met Jon when he started working for roof hospital and we became friends right away.
Such a great and funny friend. We spoke just about everyday since the day I met him, whether it be for work or just to shoot the bull, Jon was always a pleasure. I’ll miss him greatly.
