Obituary of Ricky Peter Bearhat Sr.

November 25, 1959 - July 18, 2023 

Ricky Peter Bearhat / Little Light made his journey to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 18, 2023. Ricky was born on November 25, 1959 to Patrick Sr. and Alfreda Bearhat. 

Rick was born again when he found his faith in 1975, he started ministering as a youth pastor and would begin and ultimately dedicate his life and family to the Christian Faith. In 1994 he founded his church and ministry “Spirit Filled Ministries”, he was invited to minister and share the gospel all over Canada and the U.S. prophesying and befriending many, many fellow Christians along the way. In 1999 he graduated from Victory Bible College under “Word of Faith Ministries” earning his Pastoral Ministry Degree. 

Rick was a true compassionate, quick to offer his time and ear to all those he met, always leaving a lasting impression and the right words to say to all he encountered. 

He leaves to mourn his loving wife and best friend of 39 years, Marion Bearhat. Their dearly loved children, DJ (Dallas), Marlon, MarLa (Curtis) and Ricky II; and their grandchildren, Shania, Cheyanne, Riker, Pashence, Knox, Ricky III and Dior; as well as all of his adopted spiritual sons and daughters. He leaves behind his brother Leonard Good Eagle and sister Alona Theoret (Bearhat).

He was predeceased by his parents Patrick I and Alfreda Bearhat; brothers, Patrick Bearhat II., Eric Bearhat, Frank Royal, Darrel Royal, and Floyd Royal; sisters, Rhoda Bearhat, Liberty Bearhat and Romona Royal. Along with numerous nieces and nephews whom he adored and loved. 

We would like to mention his Crow family, his sister Lois Crooked Arm whom he adored and was very close with, Susan White Shirt, Charlene Brown, Margaret Brown, and Linda Birding Ground. If we have missed anybody, we send our apologies. He had family and friends all across Canada and USA. 

Wake Services will be held at the residence Gordon Yellowfly Memorial Arbour (Siksika Nation, AB) on Thursday, July 27, 2023. at 6:00 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held at Gordon Yellowfly Memorial Arbour (Siksika Nation, AB) on Friday, July 28, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Paul Little Walker Cemetery (Siksika Nation, AB).
