Condolences
Vivid memories of Ron's turbulent teen years as a hell raiser in Montreal. Oft times he would good naturedly "victimize" me (maybe Bill too) with some kind of practical joke that involved me suffering some laughable indignity. Convincing me, for example, to drop a water filled balloon from our second story balcony for a near miss of our landlord as he washed his car in the driveway below us had Ron in stitches and me dropping flat to the balcony floor to avoid being busted by the landlord. A less laughable memory involved being notified by the military chaplain that Ron was DOA following a car accident in Southern Ontario, only to be called a couple of hours later and advised that the DOA message was in error and that Ron was still with us. Ron's penchant for hell raising & risk taking had made the first notice entirely believable. We shared both laughs & worries in our time with Ron and will remember he with great affection. condolences to susan and the rest of ron's family on your loss. as a golfing buddy i would like to recall a couple of years back when ron got his hole in one and it was on seniors day and the hole he got it on was also closest to the pin for the prize of the day. i just looked at him and said that might be hard to beat. RIP good buddy. ken mcbride
This is a very sad and loving time for Ron’s whole family. As his only living Aunt, I want to share a wonderful memory of visiting when Ron was a baby, barely talking. We were all eating in a restaurant when suddenly Ron called out in a loud baby voice, “Cum into my arms and div me a tiss”. I think everyone in the restaurant turned to look at us with big smiles on their faces.
RIP Uncle Ron, I am sure you will get in lots of golf games in heaven. We will miss your always sunny composure.
our condolences to the Ron Harvey clan.
