Brenda Louise Ohlhauser (nee Campbell), born on August 4, 1956, in Calgary, Alberta, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 24, 2023, in Calgary at the age of 66 years.
Brenda was the beloved wife of Mark and a devoted mother to her daughter Jenn (Shaun) Hobin, and her son Kale (Laura) MacCalder. She was also a loving grandmother to her six grandchildren, Justin, Kolby, Keirra, Kaleah, Kevilyn and Shayna. She is also survived by seven sisters, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
Brenda was predeceased by her daughter Heather MacCalder, granddaughter Kaleigh Hobin, and her parents, Leo and Audrey Campbell.
Brenda was a dedicated volunteer with the Shamrock Childrens Christmas Society for 16 plus years and enjoyed bingo, golfing, playing the slots, and traveling. She recently fell in love with Cabo, Mexico and was excited to spend time at the condo Mark and her purchased there last year. Her family was her passion, and she was so happy to create memories on their family trip to Mexico in April 2023.
Brenda will be most remembered for her smile, beautiful blue eyes, how she lit up a room, and the love and laughs she shared with everyone she met. She truly made friends every where she went.
The family would like to thank the home palliative care team, South Health Campus, Rapid access unit, palliative care doctors, Unit 78, and the High River Cancer Clinic for their care and support.
In lieu of flowers, the family would love donations to be made in Brenda’s memory to the High River Cancer Clinic at https://www.highriverhealthfoundation.ca/in-memory-donation.
