Obituary of Mona Loretta Till

 

1963 – 2023

 

Mona Till, beloved partner of Stan Berthelette, of Strathmore, AB, passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at the age of 60 years.

 

Mona was born in Calgary, AB on June 20, 1963. She was the youngest of six children. She was raised, went to school, and worked in Calgary, AB until she moved to Strathmore, AB in 2005.

 

Mona loved gardening and enjoyed fishing, golfing, camping, playing cards Saturday nights with family, and just to sit and enjoy the good company of family, friends, and co-workers. She also had a great love for animals including her pets.

 

Mona’s most memorable vacations were when she travelled to Winnipeg, MB to visit Stan’s family and friends, Gull Lake, AB just to relax, visit and get some fishing in, Radium and Fernie, BC to go golfing with friends, and Germany to visit all the relatives.

 

Mona’s favourite saying was “Yello” when answering the telephone.

 

She will be most remembered for her great love for life with her loving heart and the kindness, charity, and generosity she gave to all whose life she touched and her amazing uniqueness.

 

Besides her loving spouse Stan, Mona is also survived by her four brothers and sisters-in-law, Tony and Marilyn of Olds, AB, Allan and Donna of Airdrie, AB, Frank of Calgary, AB, Mike and Karen of Airdrie, AB; and one sister, Irene of Strathmore, AB; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, and cousins.

 

Mona was predeceased by her parents Anton and Eva Till and brother-in-law Jim Tobin.

 

A Funeral Service will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street N, Calgary, AB T2E 2V6), on Friday, August 11, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Mona’s service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service. For those who are unable to view live, a recording of the service will be posted. Condolences, memories, and photos can also be shared and viewed here.

 

In living memory of Mona Till, a tree will be planted in the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area by McInnis & Holloway Funeral Homes, Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street North, Calgary, AB T2E 2V6, Telephone: 403-243-8200.
