I first met Barbara while visiting my grandparents in Magrath when I was five years old and she; one year older. In the years after that first meeting, our lives often intersected until we finally found ourselves as neighbours and our daughters; best friends.

No one who knew Barbara will forget her wonderful smile, her twinkly voice, her elegance, her innate kindness and bumbly personality. She was a joy to be with as a child and as an adult.

I consider myself fortunate to have been her friend. My sincere condolences to you Susan, Meryl and Ron.
