Obituary of Beverly Elaine VanRuyskensvelde

July 28, 2023 - Calgary, Alberta

Beverly VanRuyskensvelde of Claresholm, AB, passed away suddenly on Friday, July 28, 2023, at the age of 66 years with her children at her bedside.

Beverly had a passion for planting flowers, gardening and most definitely cooking and baking. She will be remembered for her home baked desserts and hosting dinner parties with all her friends and family. She loved a good backyard campfire, and country music.

Bev was larger than life. She always spoke her opinion and stood up for what she believed in. We are going to miss her so much.

Beverly is survived by her three children, Troy (Jolene) MacKenzie of Calgary, AB, Nicole (Jeff) Whitehead of Claresholm, AB, and Travis VanRuyskensvelde of Grande Prairie, AB; four grandchildren, Jacob, Ella, Mia and Hayden.

Beverly is also survived by her brother Gerry MacKenzie of Mundare, AB; sisters, Marlene MacLaren (Sandy) of Adrossan, AB;  and Cheryle Iwaskow (Richard) of Edmonton, AB; and as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Beverly was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Helen MacKenzie, brother Don Mackenzie, sisters-in-law, Annette and Sylvia; niece Crystal Lynn and her loving companion Paul Strutzel.
