Obituary of Loree Harriett Clark

April 30, 1955 - July 30, 2023

Beloved daughter, sister, auntie and friend Loree Harriett Clark passed peacefully at the age of 68 on a sunny Sunday, July 30, 2023 after a long, brave health battle for the last several years.

Loree was one of a kind - incredibly well read, crossword-whiz, keen gardener and at-home chef, top notch celebrator, intelligent debater and kind-hearted animal lover. She especially adored her cat companions over the years: Clover, Pinder, Gemma, Lily, Abby, Charlie and Anney. Through the years she wore many employment hats in technology, book-selling, not-for-profit organizations, and literacy tutor, and was always adored for her wit, skill and kindness.

Left with joyful memories and love to the moon and back are her mother Dorothy; her stepmother Fay; siblings, Virginia, Jan (Murray), Ian (Lorraine) and Alec (Sloan); nieces and nephews, Rod, Daniel, Evangeline, Shannon, Brian, Gerry, Brandon, Ryan, Maclean and Lochlyn; many grand nieces and nephews and dear friends, but especially Barb, Wendy, Barb and Becky. Loree was sadly predeceased by her father Douglas Clark in 2018.

At Loree’s request there will be no service. Details of a Celebration of her Life will come at a later date.
