Many of her fondest memories were of her school days, hanging out with friends and the countless adventures they shared.
Wendy enjoyed researching our family genealogy. She made numerous historical discoveries and was able to connect with some distant relatives in Denmark.
Wendy accomplished much through her life and was particularly proud of her entrepreneurial endeavors, developing creative business plans that shifted with the times. In 1981 she opened Special Day Bridal and Costumes in Langley, then after moving to Alberta operated a pilot car service and later started a computer cleaning service. She marched to the beat of her own drum and made her way through life on her own terms. Wendy was a true force of nature, aptly nicknamed “Stormy” by her First Nation friends in Walnut Grove.
Wendy was a cancer survivor, and once recovered she retired to Mexico for the winters, where she learned to master the Spanish language. While in Canada, she enjoyed hot summers with friends at a campground in Southern Alberta.
She will be most remembered for her love of fast cars, having the best dance moves and her daring approach to life.
