Obituary of James Carman Bennett

Carman Bennett of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at the age of 74 years.
Carman was born in Saskatoon, on December 29, 1948. He moved around Canada and Europe as a child, before ending up in Cold Lake AB, to end high school, where he met Sherry Sutherland. Carman graduated from MacGill University with a degree in Architecture. The two lived briefly in Montreal before returning west to settle in Calgary. Carman played amateur hockey with the Crowchild/Silver Springs Old Timers hockey team, and he was a member of the Rideau/Roxborough neighborhood committee for numerous years.
Carman is survived by his son, Connol and daughter-in-law Lisa, as well as his treasured grandson, Kieran of Calgary. Carman was predeceased by his wife Sherry, and both parents, Bill and Hilda.
