Obituary of Denis Robert Archer

August 24, 1945 – Zenon Park, Saskatchewan

August 2, 2023 - Calgary, Alberta

Denis Archer, beloved husband of the late Marilyn Marie Antoinette (nee Moyen), of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at the age of 77 years.

Denis was born in Zenon Park, SK, on August 24, 1945. He moved to Edmonton, AB, in 1966. On March 27, 1967, he married Marilyn Moyen, and they had two boys together, Guy and Kim. In 1975, Denis and Marilyn moved to Calgary where they lived out the rest of their days.

Denis accomplished much through his life and was particularly proud of “Archer The Counter Top Shop”, the family business he operated with the help of his wife.

Denis enjoyed his wood working shop and made many things for his wife and family members. Later in life, Denis enjoyed making plastic models.

Denis is survived by his two sons Guy (Sherwood Park) and Kim (Calgary); daughter-in-law Corrina (Sherwood Park); and four grandchildren, Hayley, David, Damian, and Jessica.

Denis is also survived by his two brothers Richard (Betty) Archer from Aylsham, SK, and Marc (Rita) from Salt Spring Island, BC.

Denis was predeceased by his wife Marilyn and his parents Gustave and Annette Archer.
