Condolences
Our dear friends the Mealey family, we were heart broken to learn the sudden passing of Kirk. Meeting your wonderful family at FFCA, and then the many years we followed you to the Dojo of the British Shotokan karate club, you inspired us to earn our family Black Belts too. We lean into those heartfelt memories and fun we had with Kirk and your family and will remain forever lifetime friends ❤️. The MacLean family
Along with everyone, I was shocked and continue to feel the incredible loss of such a beautiful and solid young man. I had the distinct pleasure of flying with Kirk from Calgary up to Sherwood Park. In his soft-spoken and confident manner, Kirk encouraged me to take the yoke and participate in the thrill of flying his plane. He was patient, enduring my many questions, and gently corrected me as I fumbled my way through his directions. We shared many laughs and enjoyed the view together. I was so impressed with Kirk's skill and ease at the controls of the plane. He made it all look so easy. It was a perfect time to spend with a beloved nephew.
This world is strikingly a lesser place without Kirk. But Kirk's example is something to follow as I can hope to be like him.
I miss you, Kirk. And I have the hope God gives to see you again in heaven.
Uncle Ian
