Obituary of Joan Lesley MacKenzie

Joan MacKenzie, beloved wife of Jim MacKenzie, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, August 11, 2023 at the age of 85 years.

Joan moved to Canada in 1957. She was employed with Unemployment Insurance and later transferred to the Treasury Department. While living in Brookwood Manor in southwest Calgary, Joan met Jim Mackenzie, while living in the same building. They married in August 1964.

Joan is survived by her loving husband Jim, her son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Rhonda; daughter Diane, grandchildren, Taylor (Steph), Ashlyn, Brooke (Erik), and Austin (Keairra); her brother Rev. John Mash (Dorothy), sister-in-law Donna Mash, and close friends, Audrey and Bob Nelson. Joan was predeceased by her brother Les Mash.
