Obituary of Ryan O'Hara Thacker

Ryan Thacker passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 13th at the age of 41 after a brief illness.

He will be lovingly remembered by his parents Herb and Marilyn Thacker, his sister Amy (Don), niece Grace and his beloved dog Guinness. He also leaves to mourn his passing his aunts and uncles, Joni and Randy O’Hara, Blair McNeely and Sue Evans and his many friends and cousins.

Ryan attended Mount Royal University where he studied environmental sciences. He had been employed at Tetra Tech Canada for the past eleven years as an environmental scientist. He enjoyed his work there and was a valued employee. Ryan loved family gatherings at Christmas and other special occasions. He liked video games, playing card games with his family and he enjoyed many camping trips with Guinness and his friends. Ryan had a great sense of humour and especially loved making people laugh.

A Celebration of Life will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street N, Calgary, AB T2E 2V6) on Friday, August 25, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home.
