Obituary of Willard Waldron Labelle

Willard Labelle was called home by our Creator on August 13, 2023, at the age of 48 years. Willard believed in traditional ways and respected our culture. He was kind and humble, and he spoke the old dialect of Stoney language which he learned and was taught by his grand parents Frank and Caroline Powderface. Willard went to Morley residential school. He enjoyed the outdoors fishing, hunting and was a firefighter.
Willard is survived by his children Tara, Willard Jr., Tom (Missy), Austin, Belle, Ashley, Orlando and five grandchildren, his mother Georgina Labelle, brother Brett (Danielle) Benjamin, Conlin (Josette), Johnny, Dallas Powderface nieces Tylia (Anthony) Rain, Aaliyha, Gracii (Jocsin) Twoyoungmen, Nathy, Andralyn, nephews Dre, Brisias, Quaid, Kavein, Kaiden, grandparents Heather Rabbit (Audley Stevens). Wake Services will be held at the residence of Georgina Labelle (Morley, AB) on Sunday, August 20, 2023. Funeral Services will be held at Morley Gymnasium (Morley, AB) on Monday, August 21, 2023, at 1:00PM. Graveside Service to follow at Chiniki Cemetery (Morley, AB).
