Holly and Family,
Sending our sympathies to you all at this time. We are thinking of you.
We met Terry after he and Holly got together. He was always happy and a perfect fit for Holly and our friend group. They always made the trek from the Deep South to the Far North for our Annual Christmas Party. The memory I want to share is last summer when they came to visit us at Mabel Lake. Terry’s goal for the weekend was to slalom water-ski… and he did it like a champ!! We were all so proud of him for giving it his all… couldn’t wipe the smile off him if you tried that day!! To Holly and all his family you have our deepest condolences, the world lost a very fine human. Rest in Peace Terry
“Good friends are the family we choose”
This could not be a more appropriate saying than for The Quilleys and the Cokers. Tom & Pat Quilley and my parents were inseparable while both families lived in Ottawa from the early 60’s to late 70’s which of course meant that us kids grew up together. Terry was the oldest of the 7 of us and I was next and I adored him and looked up to him as my big brother. We spent many evenings and weekends together as well as every Christmas and New years day. .I have too many memories to recount but the best of them were during our many family trips. We drove across the country every second year and went down east and to Walt Disney World once too. We always had 2 cars with tents or campers but inevitably the siblings would start squabbling and we would trade cars. Terry and I spent many many hours in the car together making up weird games to keep ourselves occupied (before the days of seatbelts and GameBoys lol) . Quilleys moved to Alberta and my parents eventually did too so we still saw each other on special occasions. Terry was a special guy in my eyes and although we didn’t see each other often in our adult years he always held a place in my heart. RIP my dear sweet friend xo
