Obituary of Bernarda Amelia Agusti

Bernarda Agusti (nee Fuentes) beloved wife of Juan Jorge Agusti of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at the age of 85 years.

Bernarda was born in Parral, Chile, and worked as a teacher in the rural community of Santa Ines. She moved to Calgary, AB, Canada, in the late 1970s, and later taught at Escuela Chilena de los Sabados, a Spanish school in Calgary.

She was very involved in the community as a member of the Latin American Women’s Association and the Latin American Senior Association of Calgary.

Bernarda was passionate about singing, gardening, reading, and enjoying the company of friends, and family. She was also known for her great sense of humour, and ability to deliver a good joke.

Bernarda was the beloved wife of Juan Agusti, and the mother of three children, Pia, Marco, and Claudia; she was also the grandmother of Sebastian, Claudio, Camila, and Jordy; and the great-grandmother of Zoe.

Bernarda will be remembered for her compassionate, and generous spirit, her love of family, and friends. And her infinite love, and appreciation for the beauty surrounding her.

We will forever be grateful for her unconditional love.
