I remember working with Allie in the back at C911 and seeing her face light up when you came and picked her up for lunch. Everything else was forgotten when you walked into the room. She talked so highly of you, and it was clear how much she loved you.
And then that fateful day when I met her at the TBCC right after Maddie was born and how her face lit up again when she talked about her daughters. We lamented about the situation she was in, but again, that sparkle outweighed everything else. She had so much joy for her family. I thought, ‘I will be here to support her through this.’ But in the end, it was she who supported me far more than I ever did for her.
Strong, forthright, kind and funny are the ways that I will always remember Allie. I saw that she handled herself through something (no one should ever have to go through), with grace and dignity. I will remember her all my days. My family is praying for your family. God bless.
