Obituary of Lloyd Maurice Faas

Lloyd Maurice Faas, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2023 at the age of 88 years.
Lloyd was the eldest son of Ralph and Emily Faas of Crossfield, AB. He was raised in the village and received all of his schooling in the Crossfield School. After High School, Lloyd moved to Calgary to begin his working life. He received his CPA from night school at the University of Calgary in 1963. He worked most of his career in the Oil & Gas Industry. Lloyd accepted early retirement from Amoco Canada (BP Petroleum) after 26 years of service. He was active in his church choir and the BP Alumni Program, and treasurer in the Calgary Petroleum Curling League for over 40 years.
Lloyd is survived by his wife of 58 years Peggi, his son and daughter-in-law Kevin and Elisabeth; grandson Morgan; and his brother and sister-in-law Wallace and Heather of Vancouver, BC. He was predeceased by his parents, his sisters Lorraine and Faye, and his son Steven.
Funeral Services will be held at St. David’s United Church (3303 Capitol Hill Crescent N.W., Calgary, AB) on Friday, September 8, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Church Hall. If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Lloyd’s name may be made to the Alberta Heart and Stroke Organization or St. David’s United Church.
