Vera Emma and I met when she first started to date Joe Shannon, my closest and dearest friend. As their relationship developed so did my friendship with Vera. As a result of their marriage Vera also became my close friend. When I married my wife, Elaine, she and Vera became very dear and very close friends. The four of us spent so much time together we used to joke about sharing a home. We saw each other through good times and not so good times but normally with good humor. Oh my goodness the times we had! Their kids became our kids and their grandchildren became our grandchildren and we still continue to love them all very much. Vera had a long and full life but now it's time for her and Joe to be together again.
