James “Jim” Jameson, beloved husband of Anne (nee Masson), of Calgary, AB,  passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 27, 2023 at the age of 80 years.

He was born in Winnipeg, MB in 1942 and went to the University of Manitoba where he graduated with a degree in business. Jim moved to Montreal in 1966, married Jennifer and had two sons, Ryan and Tyler. He met Anne in 1981, through her sister Karen, and they married in 2000. Jim and Anne moved to Calgary to be closer to the boys in 2003.

Jim loved doing crosswords and puzzles and really enjoyed writing poems, watching his grandson Dylan play lacrosse, his great-grandson Austin play soccer, sending funny texts to his great-granddaughter Brooke, and creating stories with his great-grandson Luke.

Jim’s most cherished vacation memories were taking his boys camping and fishing in New Hampshire and Maine. He will be remembered for his dry sense of humor as well as for his generous spirit, especially when helping with a home improvement project.

Jim leaves to mourn his wife Anne, his son Ryan and daughter-in-law April, his son Tyler and daughter-in-law Kathy, his grandsons, Dylan and Derrick; and his great-grandchildren, Austin, Brooke, Luke, Cearaphena, Abhalasha, and Bhanora. Jim is also survived by his brother Jay, sister-in-law Lynne, niece Leslee, and brother-in-law Ted, sister-in-law Karen and her husband Richard. Jim was predeceased by his parents, Leslie and Gladys (nee Duncan) Jameson and sister Jill.
