Obituary of Joanne Irene Sinclaire

Joanne Sinclaire, beloved wife of Stephen Sinclaire of Calgary, passed away peacefully with her husband by her side after a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at the age of 61 years.

Joanne was a highly accomplished and much-respected land professional in the oil and gas industry, with a passion for her career that was matched only by her love and devotion to her family. She was a caring, considerate, daughter, sister, wife, and friend and will be truly missed. 

As we mourn Jo's passing, we also celebrate the life she lived and the impact she had. Her example of hard work, perseverance, and kindness will continue to inspire those who knew her, and her legacy will be cherished for generations to come.

Joanne is survived by her loving husband, Stephen of eighteen years, father Edwin Gilroy, siblings Lorette Braid (Peter), Brad Gilroy, Lyle Gilroy (Karen), and Diana Tworek (Joe); many nieces and nephews, and by her close dear friends. Joanne was predeceased by her mother Irene Gilroy and brother Avery Gilroy. 

A Celebration of Jo’s Life will be held at the McKenzie Meadows Golf Club Event Centre (17215 McKenzie Meadows Drive, Calgary) on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at 2:00 pm, reception to follow.  Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed with her family here.
