Condolences
It was a privilege to join the family today through the live stream of Boyd's service. Thank you for the opportunity to share in the day of victory of a man that finished his race with honor. The day I visited Boyd before I left Calgary, as I looked into his smiling eyes (he was joking and making the moment light even when I knew how very much he was physically suffering, how I admired that) and held his hand; my soul knew it would be the last time I saw him this side of eternity. Our souls touched that day - at a level way beyond earthly comprehension - as souls that have both struggled fiercely to overcome our human natures and surrender to our King of Kings and that both trusted and believed wholeheartedly that He was our only hope beyond this realm.
I love this family SO much, each and every one of them and I'm so grateful I could be with you even from afar. Sending all my love, all my hugs and all my condolences on the loss this will be for each of you. xoxoox Tamara (Aunti)
Remembering Boyd. I did not know him all that well but do have memories of visits at Brigus, My sympathy to Joan and the children. He finished the race and may it encourage us to do the same. Boyd and my late husband Gilbert would be 2nd cousins.
Thinking of you all with love and sympathy!! Life at best is short! Boyd will be missed!
I remember Boyd as a young married man, who I believe had arrived from Newfoundland shortly before. He made a life with his new bride and put his roots down in Alberta. Kelly and I value the many years knowing and meeting with Boyd and Joan and seeing their care for their children and grand children. Thought about Boyd when we were travelling by his home town (Traytown, Nfld). Thinking of all the family at this difficult time, with warmth and love.
